Mrs. Boeding was born May 2, 1917, at Houghton and was a lifelong resident of the Houghton area. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Houghton, the Altar and Rosary, the Daughters of Isabella and the West Point Garden Club. Madison, Bryan of Burlington and William of Des Moines; six daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Jo) Newton, Tempe, Ariz., Mrs. David (Marita) Meith, Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Thomas (Bonnie) Jansen, Bettendorf, Mrs. Larry (Bernadette) Johnson, Eagan, Minn., Laura Boeding, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Mrs. Jack (Elaine) Thomas, Iowa City, Iowa; a brother, Leo Sanders, Monett, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Ward, Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Her parents were Joseph and Anna Middendorf Sanders. Services were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8, at St. John's Church. The Rev. John Spiegel officiated. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Sanders, Kenneth, Sanders, Leroy Sanders, Jim Boeding, Tom Boeding, Mark Pollpeter and Harold Moeller. Memorials have been established with St. Johnn's Church and the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
