Description	:	FARMINGTON - Charlotte May Robbins Durrell, 93, of Industry died Saturday, May 13, surrounded by her loving family at the Pierce House. She was born in Industry on April 23, 1913, at the Eli True place, the daughter of Elmer C. and Minnie Badger Robbins of Industry. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1931. Read More	FARMINGTON - Charlotte May Robbins Durrell, 93, of Industry died Saturday, May 13, surrounded by her loving family at the Pierce House. She was born in Industry on April 23, 1913, at the Eli True place, the daughter of Elmer C. and Minnie Badger Robbins of Industry. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1931. Charlotte married Clayton "Barney" Durrell on July 18, 1942, in Auburn. After his return from World War II, she worked by his side at Durrell's Garage and Used Cars for 25 years as secretary/bookkeeper and as secretary/bookkeeper for Berner Real Estate. They raised three children, Fran, Willy and Gill, before Clayton passed away in 1977. Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She was a lifelong learner and encouraged her family and friends to be the same. She loved her gardens, playing Scrabble and cards, and began taking bridge lessons at age 85. Charlotte was active in the early days of the Clearwater Improvement Society, the Farmington Boosters Club during the building of the Mill Pond Dam, Legion Auxiliary and Friendly Workers of Shorey Chapel during the restoration of the chapel. She was a longtime clerk/treasurer of Shorey Chapel, a representative of the Larger Parish and Franklin Association, treasurer of the Grange and chairperson of Extension. Charlotte had a great interest in homemaking, history, nutrition and environmental issues. Later in life, she became a member of senior citizens and enjoyed many trips in the United States and Canada, including Hawaii. Charlotte and her family appreciated the exceptional care she received from the staff of the Pierce House and Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Frances Brann and her husband, Kenneth, of Industry, with whom she made her home for the last 20 years; grandson, Keith Brann and his wife, Laura, of Auburn and great-grandchildren, Maureen and Thomas Brann; grandson, Kendall Brann and his wife, Joan, of Wilton and great-granddaughters, Kaleigh and Kelsey Brann; daughter, Wilma LaBrie and her husband, Lawrence, of Auburn; granddaughter, Beth LaBrie and her husband, Timothy Flick, of Turner; granddaughter, Rebecca LaBrie of Turner; and great-granddaughter, Samantha Baldwin of South Carolina: a son, Gilbert Durrell and his wife, Connie, of Farmington; grandson, Grant Durrell and his wife, Emily, of Pennsylvania and great-grandsons, Josiah and Ethan Durrell; and granddaughter, Lynelle Durrell of Caracas, Venezuela. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Clayton Durrell; her brothers, Horace, Clfton and Norman Robbins; and her sisters, Lucille Newell, Marguerite Huff, Edith and Esther Robbins.
