Description	:	Charlotte Ueckert (as printed in the Polk Progress 6-22-1944) Mrs. Charlotte Ueckert, daughter of Ferdinand and Ernstine Swartz, was born on January 3, 1856 at Brandenburg, Germany and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Paben at Arcadia, Nebraska on Wednesday evening, June 14, 1944 at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 11 days. She was married to Johann Ueckert on April 22, 1878. Six children were born to this union. She was married to Johann Ueckert on April 22, 1878. Six children were born to this union. Mr. and Mrs. Ueckert made their home at Tornow, Germany until 1883 when the family came to America where they settled on a farm in Hamilton County, which was her home until 1937 when she became afflicted with blindness, since then she has made her home with her two daughters. Mrs. Ueckert was always steadfast in the Christian Faith, her life was one of utmost patience, she was cheerful and never complained, always grateful expressing kindness and love to all. She was preceded in death by two sons who died in infancy and her husband who died in 1933. She is survived by two sons: Otto Ueckert of Central City; Rudy of Harvard; two daughters: Mrs. Ida Ericksen of Boelus and Mrs. William Paben of Arcadia; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at the Brauer Funeral Home and at 2:30 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
