In doing a search for Ralph A. and Amanda Rogers Williams in ancestry.com, I could find no record of them. I have checked the obituary for the Ralph A. Williams who died May 2, 1950, and is buried in the Ottumwa Cemetery, and no mention is made of a daughter Charlotte. Williams who died May 2, 1950, and is buried in the Ottumwa Cemetery, and no mention is made of a daughter Charlotte. However, in checking familysearch.org, I found an affidavit for a delayed birth record for Charlotte, completed by her mother, Almanda Rogers Williams of Chicago, Illinois, on March 12, 1943. The name has been transcribed as Charlotte Nadine Williams; however, in looking at the actual birth record found on the site, the middle name was actually Undine. According to this record, Charlotte's father was Isaac Elmer Williams. According to the census records, Isaac was a minister. Charlotte Williams married R.A. Bitner on October 28, 1922, in Albia, Iowa. Her parents on the marriage record are named as Isaac and Alminda (Rogers) Williams. According to the death record found in ancestry.com, Charlotte's father Isaac died January 5, 1930, in Galesburg, Illinois, and was buried there. At the time of his death, he had lived in Galesburg for two years and five months. --------------- Obituary From The Ottumwa Courier, January 17, 1992: Former Ottumwan Charlotte Bitner, 86, of Fort Madison died Jan. 15, 1992, at Fort Madison Health Center. She was born Feb. 20, 1905, in Ottumwa to Ralph A. and Amanda Rogers Williams. She married Ralph A. Bitner. He died in 1957. A resident of Fort Madison since 1969, she was a homemaker and attended the Protestant church. She is survived by a stepdaughter, June Sedore of South Age Mich., and a stepgrandson. Burial was Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.
