He was born Feb. 22, 1929, near Ness City to Walter and Neva (VanHorn) Klitzke. He attended country schools in Ness County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He married Betty Nowlin in February 1952 in WaKeeney. He later married Carol Wood on Aug. 14, 1957, in Guymon, Okla. He was a retired oil field pumper. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Ransom; burial in the Ransom Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, with the family present from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Pheasants Foreever or the National Kidney Foundation.
