Description	:	Chester B. Starr SEBRING, Fla. - Chester B. Starr, 76 died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at his residence in Sebring. Born in Chestertown, he was the son of the late Russell L. and Nellie E. Starr. He had been a resident of Sebring since moving from Crescent City, Fla. in 1987. Mr. Starr worked for General Motor Co./Chevrolet-Buick as a parts manager for 40 years. Starr, 76 died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at his residence in Sebring. Born in Chestertown, he was the son of the late Russell L. and Nellie E. Starr. He had been a resident of Sebring since moving from Crescent City, Fla. in 1987. Mr. Starr worked for General Motor Co./Chevrolet-Buick as a parts manager for 40 years. During World War II he served in the United States Navy. In Chestertown he was a member of the Frank M. Jarman American Legion Post 24 and the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company; and in Florida he was a member of the Moose Club and Elks Club, as well as a member of Golf Hammock Country Club in Sebring. In addition to his wife, Corinne, he is survived by three daughters, Sherry Newcomb of Cambridge, Shelly Coleman of Chestertown, and Scarlet Vance of Gainesville, Fla.; one sister, Mary Brockson of St. Petersburg, Fla. and two grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. May 17 at Chester Cemetery in Chestertown. Arrangements are being handled by Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Harrington, Del.
