Description	:	Chester D. Wells, son of William and Esta Wilson Wells, was born July 18, 1916 at Cotesfield, Nebraska. He entered into rest on February 28, 2004 at st. Paul, Nebraska at age of 87 years. Chester grew up on the family farm in the Cotesfield area. He attended Cotesfield schools and was a 1934 graduate of the Cotesfield High School. He entered into rest on February 28, 2004 at st. Paul, Nebraska at age of 87 years. Chester grew up on the family farm in the Cotesfield area. He attended Cotesfield schools and was a 1934 graduate of the Cotesfield High School. Before his marriage he farmed with his family. On May 16, 1936 Chester was united in marriage to Verna Rasmussen at Loup City. The couple first farmed in the Cotesfield area and then later farmed in the Elba area for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cotesfield. He was a charter member of the Ord Elks Lodge #2371. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed farming and raising livestock, especially hogs. He is survived by his wife, Verna of St. Paul; two daughters, Donna Short of Lakewood, Colorado and Marlene Round of Bedford, Texas; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
