He had also worked at Moulton Gas Co. and Kinstle Trucking. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapak. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1272, American Legion Post 330 and Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 691, all Wapak. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 452 and AMVETS Post 39, both Indian Lake. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, his dogs and morning coffee with his friends at McDonald's, Wapak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapak, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker, officiating.
