Description	:	Logansport Press, October 21, 1952, page 4 MONTICELLO — Chester Mitchell, 21, Twin Lakes dairy employe, was instantly killed at ll:31 a.m. today when his car was hit by a Monon passenger at the north edge of town. En route east on Hanawalt street Mitchell's 1939 sedan was struck by the southbound passenger and carried eight car lengths down the track. He remained in the driver's seat of the crushed car. His wife, the former Marilyn Swaney of Idaville, whom he married last February, was not at home at the time of the tragedy having left for Lafayette with sister-in-law a few minutes... Born in Monticello February 16, 1931, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Mitchell. Survivors are his wife, his parents, three brothers and four sisters. The train was held until almost one o'clock for after Dr. C. R. Netherton, White county coroner, arrived at 12:30 the body had to be removed and the auto extricated from the tracks. The body was removed to the Prevo funeral home. Rites are pending.
