Read More	Barnes, Chester Owen "Buster" View/Sign Guest Book Chester "Buster" Owen Barnes was born June 9, 1926, in Estherville, Iowa to Chester and Pearl Barnes and passes away September 30, 2007, in Bakersfield, California. Chester graduated from Estherville High School and then served in the Korean war. He farmed with his father for a number of years before marrying Eloise Ina Hennick in 1960. Chester and Eloise moved to Bakersfield where he worked for Montgomery Wards as a service technician until he retired in 1990. Chester and Eloise raised two wonderful sons, Steven Allen Barnes and Timothy Troy Barnes. Chester will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. Chester is survived by his wife, Eloise; son, Steven ( and Lori); grandchildren, Timothy and Jennifer; brother, Robert Barnes (and Bettye); sister-in-law, Eudean Barnes; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Troy Barnes; his parents, Chester and Pearl Barnes; brother, Myron Barnes; and sister, Thela Barnes. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 3rd, at Greenlawn Mortuary from 3:00 -9:00 p.m. Graveside service is scheduled for Friday, October 5th, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 5500 Olive Drive Bldg 1, Bakersfield, CA 93308.
