A SUDDEN DEATH Chester Cotton died at Kansas City Wednesday evening about 9 o'clock, after a brief illness of influenza. A week ago last Monday he went to that city to attend an automobile school of instruction and Wednesday following took sick. Last Sunday a message was sent to his father, William Cotton, which stated that he was in a critical condition. Mr. Cotton went to that city Monday and was at his son's bedside when the end came. Deceased was married to Myrtle White and their home was near Emden. She, with two children, also numerous other relatives survive him. The remains were expected to reach this place yesterday afternoon and the burial will probably take place at Betheny church cemetery, although no arrangements have been made at this writing. Cotton of near Emden, died Wednesday in Kansas City, where he had gone ten days previous to attend an automobile school. He contracted influenza three days after his arrival there and his father received a message Sunday stating that he was seriously ill. He went at once to his son's bedside and was with him until death claimed him. He took the remains to Shelbyville Friday for burial. Deceased is survived by his widow, who was Miss Myrtle White, and their two small children.
