Description	:	One of Napanee's oldest citizens, in the person of Mr. Chester Brown, passed away at his late residence, on Thursday, February 28th, in his 94th year. For the past two or three years Mr. Brown has been in failing health, probably due to old age, and for the past few weeks his condition had grown steadily worse, he having lain in a state of coma for several days before his death. Read More	One of Napanee's oldest citizens, in the person of Mr. Chester Brown, passed away at his late residence, on Thursday, February 28th, in his 94th year. For the past two or three years Mr. Brown has been in failing health, probably due to old age, and for the past few weeks his condition had grown steadily worse, he having lain in a state of coma for several days before his death. During his sickness he was tenderly cared for by his aged wife and daughters. The late Mr. Brown, prior to coming to Napanee, twenty-seven years ago, was a well known farmer residing near Moscow. And deciding to take a well earned rest, came to Napanee in 1902 to reside. He and his good wife transferred their membership from Moscow Church to Grace United Church and during all these years there were none more devoted to the church than Mr. and Mrs. Brown. In fine and unseasonable weather they were always in their accustomed seats on the Sabbath day. During the past few months however, Mr. Brown was unable to be present at any of the services. Deceased leaves to mourn his loss, his aged life partner, five sons, Henry, Levi, George, Walter and Clayton, and five daughters, Mrs. German Wager, Mrs. Reuben Wager, Mrs. J. Love, Mrs. C.J. Vannest, and Mrs. Alfred Vanskives. The funeral was held on Saturday from the family residence to Grace United Church, in charge of Rev. W. P. Woodger, and burial took place at Moscow.
