CHESTNEY GEORGE Mrs. Chestney George, 86, died at her son Carl's home at 1201 Yuma Friday at 3:20 p.m. She had been in failing health the past year. Born March 29, 1872 at Farmers, Kentucky, Mrs. George came to Kansas when she was 10, living here until she was 23. Then she made her home in Clarksville, Arkansas, until coming to Manhattan in August. She is survived by three sons, Carl D., whose permanent address is Clarksville, Arkansas, Stephen P. of Kingman and Walter B. of Shelton, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. A. A. Weaver of Grandview, Missouri, and Mrs. Laura Holder of Clarksville; a brother, James W. Padgett, 1203 Colorado; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 30 nieces and nephews. Rosary will be offered for Mrs. George at the Conroy All-Faith Chapel at 4 p.m. Sunday with Msgr. William H. Merchant in charge. Graveside services will be held in the Kingman Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Monday with Reverend Albert of Kingman, officiating.
