Description	:	It is our sad duty to chronicle the death of Christena Trowbridge, beloved wife of Richard J. Lucas which took place at their home in Alvinston on Friday afternoon, 19th March 1926, in her 58th year. For some time she had been in ill health but was considered very much improved and her death was very unexpected. The deceased was born on the 6th line of Warwick, being the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Trowbridge. Lucas which took place at their home in Alvinston on Friday afternoon, 19th March 1926, in her 58th year. For some time she had been in ill health but was considered very much improved and her death was very unexpected. The deceased was born on the 6th line of Warwick, being the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Trowbridge. In 1887, she married to her now bereaved husband, who resided on the 12th concession of Brooke and where they made their home until just over a year ago when they moved to Alvinston. Of this union eight children were born: Mrs. Fred Peaslee and Mr. Frank Lucas, both of the 10th concession, Brooke' Lorne of Clinton; Mrs. Gordon Luckham of Sarnia; Serle of Detroit; Mrs. E.E. Showler of Alvinston and Ruby and Goldie at home. She was a member of Christ Chruch Suterville, and always took an active part in the work of the church and the Ladies Guild. She had a very kind and hospitable disposition and was a good wife and loving mother. Besides her husband and family, she leaves to mourn her loss her sister Mr. Robert Taylor of Watford and her brother Frank of Suterville and 10 grandchildren. The service was conducted by the Rev. T. Whalen rector of Alvinston, assisted by the Rev. J. H. Hosford of Watford. The remains were laid to rest at St. James Cemetery, 6th Concession of Brooke. The pallbearers being the 3 sons and 3 sons-in-law. ~Watford Guide Advocate, March 1926
