The following from RootsWeb/WorldConnect is about Christian and his brother: BIOGRAPHY: Berlin-bsuggett.FTW] [Stokes-Peters.ftw] "Written by John Lawrence in 1861: 'Christian and Henry Crum, twin brothers, twin souls in zeal and experience, were holy, good men.' "Christian became one of the early ministers of the United Brethren Church, while Henry was active in the Methodist Church in Frederick County (Clarke County after 1836), Virginia. Both brothers were itinerate preachers. "From 1804-1851 Christian belonged to the Winchester Circuit. First deed to the United Brotheran Church building in Frederick County, Virginia was made May 11, 1810, on ground given by Christian and his wife. "Christian travelled extensively. He preached and prayed in German. "Christian was so respected by Phillip Otterbein, founder of the United Brethren Church, that at the end of his life, he gave Christian his personal bible. "Christian and Henry were said to have been Chaplains in George Washington's Army, however no documented proof has been found. They belonged to the Masonic Order and satin Lodge with General Washington in Winchester, Va. It is not know where Christian is buried."
