Description : Christian Beckler served in the Civil War. He enrolled as a Private in the Co. E., 94th Reg. Inf. Illinois on 7 Aug 1862. He participated in the siege of Vicksburg, Mississippi from 12 June 1863 until its surrender. He was in the expedition to Madisonville, LA, 3 January 1864; the siege of Fort Morgan, AL, from 9 Aug. 1864 until its surrender; and in the skirmish at Titi, Mississippi, 22 Dec. 1864.
