Karen Jacobsen (1898 NE-1989 CA) ******** The Phonograph, January 8, 1930, page 4, transcribed by Linda Berney: Christian Grant Wisser was born Sept. 19, 1864 in Canada and departed this life December 27, 1929, aged 65 years, 3 months and 8 days. When a small child he emigrated with his parents to Missouri, where he resided until manhood. Later he came to Iowa and soon after was united in marriage to Sena C. Petersen, April 8, 1888. To this union was born five children., His wife preceded him to the great beyond Dec. 3, 1905. In the spring of 190? he moved with his children to Lincoln, Nebr., where he resided 11 years. On Jan 20, 1917, he was united in marriage to Maggie Brown and they established their residence at Cushing, Nebr., living at this place up to the time of his death. He united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Deri??, Iowa, afterward transferring his membership to the Epworth Methodist church at Lincoln, Nebr. He lived a good life every day and was beloved by all who knew him. For the past 23 years he has been employed by the Burlington Railroad Co. and was always considerate of his co-workers. He was a faithful husband and a loving father, and he leaves to mourn his departure his wife, and five children, Ida Tietze of Cambridge, Emma Magee of Lincoln, Leo of Lincoln, Charles of California, and Homer of Cushing, and seven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. **** The Phonograph, September 28, 1949, page 2, transcribed by Linda Berney: Cushing News: The bodies of C.
