Marie Wilhelmina Kolpin Dreyer was born October 13, 1853, Mecklen- burg Germany and died April 6, 1937, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 23 days. She was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical faith. In 1871 she immigrated with her parents, brothers and sisters to America, settiling in Will county, Illinois. Two years, later she married Frank Dreyer, to which happy union three children were born. In 1880 they came to Iowa and set- tied on a farm in Cherokee county. As soon as the St. John's and Reformed church near Peterson was organized they became members of that church. Mrs. Dreyer came to live in Aurelia 30 years- ago. Mrs. Dreyer had been ailing for a number of years. Her sickness be- came quite severe about a month ago. On Easter Sunday she partook of Lord's supper. All her sufferings she bore quite patiently. Her husband departed this life on July 8, 1890, while her son Will pre- ceded her in death in January 1932. She leaves to mourn her departure from life two children, Mrs. Sophia Mohror of Arlington, S. D., and her son Frank of Aurelia, Iowa, two daughter-in-laws and one sister-in- law, her sisters Mrs. Sophia Kohlhag- en, Mrs. Lena Robinson and her broth er, George Kolpin, all of Aurelia 17 grandchildren and 17 great grand- children, and other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Dreyer has been a faithful member of the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church of Aurelia ever since she came to live in Aurelia. She attended worship service as often as she possibly could until November of last year. May she now be home at Christ.
