Description	:	Christena Mary (Losch) Siemer (1888 - 1982) Christena Mary Siemer, who has been a resident at the Dunlap Care Center since 1982, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1985, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison at the age of 97 years, three months, 16 days. Christena was born June 27,1888, in Box Butte County, Neb., the daughter of Joseph and Margret Losch. She was married in February of 1909 to Henry Siemer in Dunlap. Read More	Christena Mary (Losch) Siemer (1888 - 1982) Christena Mary Siemer, who has been a resident at the Dunlap Care Center since 1982, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1985, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison at the age of 97 years, three months, 16 days. Christena was born June 27,1888, in Box Butte County, Neb., the daughter of Joseph and Margret Losch. She was married in February of 1909 to Henry Siemer in Dunlap. Henry and Christena farmed south of Dow City until his death in 1943. At that time she moved to Dow City where she had numerous jobs. She moved to Dunlap in 1960 and had her own apartment until 1982 when she moved to the Care Center. She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, Catholic Daughters and the Altar Society. She is survived by two children, Evelyn Jochims of Dunlap and Ben Siemer of Dow City; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one brother, Henry Losch of Denison. She was preceded in death, by her husband; three brothers, Matt, Hubert, and John Losch, and one sister, Gertrude Siemer. Services were held Saturday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dunlap. Father Tom Coenen of Dunlap and Father John Vakulskas of Dow City officiated. Music was provided by the St. Patrick's Choir with Marie Heller as organist. Soloist was a great granddaughter, Cindy Kenkel of Dow City. Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Richard Siemer, Ronnie Jochims, Lisa Jochims, Barbara Kenkel, Kristy Probasco and Lynda Jochims. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap.
