Description	:	Mrs. Christina Koemann died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Guenther, on Sunday morning at 2:30, following a lingering illness. Her death was due to influenza and old age. Christina Nuessen was born in Hanover, Germany on December 25, 1848 and attained the age of 80 years on last Christmas day. At the age of 20 years, she came to America and settled at Quincy, Ill. Read More	Mrs. Christina Koemann died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Guenther, on Sunday morning at 2:30, following a lingering illness. Her death was due to influenza and old age. Christina Nuessen was born in Hanover, Germany on December 25, 1848 and attained the age of 80 years on last Christmas day. At the age of 20 years, she came to America and settled at Quincy, Ill. In this city, she was united in marriage to Herman Koemann. To this union four children were born, all of whom are living, with the exception of one son, Frank Koemann, who passed on several months ago at West Point. Mr. and Mrs. Koemann removed to West Point, where they resided for about fifty-four years. Following the death of her husband about four years ago, Mrs. Koemann has made her home with her daughters. The last eight months of her life was spent with Mrs. Wm. Guenther, one mile east of Creighton. All that loving care and medical science could offer was administered, but to no avail and she passed peacefully beyond. The remains were taken to West Point on Monday morning and funeral services were held on Tuesday from the Aloysius Catholic Church and interment was made in the Aloysius Cemetery. The deceased leaves to mourn two daughters, Mr. Joe Niewohner, Snyder, Neb. and Mrs. Wm. Guenther of Creighton and one son, Henry, of Loveland, Colo., besides twenty-three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
