Description	:	Mrs. Christine Blue Nolan, 83, formerly of Bennettsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at White Oak Manor in Newberry, SC. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Salem Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Jerry Robertson and the Rev. Blake Godbold. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held following the committal service in the church fellowship hall. Read More	Mrs. Christine Blue Nolan, 83, formerly of Bennettsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at White Oak Manor in Newberry, SC. Born November 26, 1931 in Dillon, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Bertha McDowell Blue. Mrs. Nolan was a member of the North Strand Senior Center in Longs, SC and a member of Salem Baptist Church in Bennettsville, SC. While at Salem Baptist Church, she served as Sunday School Director, WMU Director, Sunday School Teacher, Adult Choir Member, and Jolly Elders Member. She was very active in starting the Tape Ministries for the shut-ins. Other hobbies that Mrs. Nolan enjoyed were knitting, crocheting, sewing, working with her flowers, listening to gospel music, reading her Bible, working word search books, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Nolan served as the Secretary-Treasury for Nolan Construction and was employed with the Social Security Administration. Along with her parents, listed above, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Nolan; a daughter, Sylvia Nolan; a son, Steve Nolan; a grandson, Jody Blue; and three brothers. She is survived by her daughters of Prosperity, SC, and Bennettsville; a son of Bennettsville; four sisters; thirteen granchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her loving pet, Toby. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Beacon Hospice, 3959 Hwy. 17 By-pass, Suite D, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576; Hospice Care of Tri-County, 13795 C.R. Koon Hwy., Newberry, SC 29108, or to the Alzheimer's Association, SC Chapter, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suit L, Anderson, SC 29621.
