Description	:	Christine Farris, 88, passed from this life into the arms of her Savior, on July 6, 2021 at her home in Buckhannon, WV, surrounded by family. She was a devoted Mother and "GG" first and foremost. She treasured her children, grands and greats and embraced any time she could spend with them. She was under the care of WV Hospice. Read More	Christine Farris, 88, passed from this life into the arms of her Savior, on July 6, 2021 at her home in Buckhannon, WV, surrounded by family. She was a devoted Mother and "GG" first and foremost. She treasured her children, grands and greats and embraced any time she could spend with them. She was under the care of WV Hospice. Christine was born October 25, 1932 in Barbour County to the late James and Geneva Foster. On May 30, 1952 she married her rock and love, James Roy Farris, Sr. who is now hugging her in heaven and telling her "What took you so long, Bae?" Leaving behind to one day join them both in heaven is one son, Jeffrey Alan Farris and wife Edna of Murfreesboro, TN, two daughters, Denise Lynn Mills and husband Kevin of Buckhannon, WV, and Teresa Gilliam and husband Ron of Lakeland, FL. Her oldest son James Roy Farris Jr. also got to join in the hugs in heaven after dad greeted her. She had 10 grandchildren: Rachel Cuppari, Sarah Godwin, Shanda Hoover, Elizabeth Quick, Wayne Mills, Lisa Morehead, Joshua Farris, Crystal Farris, Steve George, Travis Gilliam and Haley Gilliam. Her 18 great-grandchildren: Ariana, Isabella and Rylee Fogle, Nathan and Catie Hoover, Emma Quick, Maddux and Prescott Mills, Roman and Jett Cuppari, Lily, Oliver, and Abby Morehead gave her many hours of enjoyment and love. She prayed daily for her family and those prayers were felt. She left behind sisters and brothers that she love unconditionally. They had many great get-togethers and meals and stayed close through the years. Missing her will be: Aneta Farris of Philippi, WV, Elnor Martin of Dugspur, VA, Patti Dobbins of Flemington, WV, Edith Starkey of Flemington, WV, Raymond Foster of Galloway, WV, Ronnie Foster of Manassas, VA, and Roger Foster of Brownton, WV. Preceding her in death were brothers Richard and Roy Foster and sister Carol Marks. Christine retired from the Myers Clinic and in the last few years of her life, she attended Christian Fellowship Church in Buckhannon. She was baptized and was a life member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Brownton, WV. Family and friends will be received at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 10am until the funeral hour at 12Noon with Pastor Ed McDaniels presiding. Interment will follow at the Trinity Cemetery at Junior.
