He died at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska., May 30, 1989, at age 25 years, 11 months, and five days. He was baptized at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Defiance, Iowa and received his First Communion and was confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Harlan, Iowa. Read More	Chris A. Goeser, 25 HARLAN - Christopher Alan Goeser, son of James and Janet (Mitzel) Goeser, was born June 19, 1963, at Harlan, Iowa. He attended St. Michael's grade school and graduated from Harlan Community High School in the class of 1981. He married Holly Gengler Dec. 29, 1984 at Apple Valley, Minnesota. One son was born to this union. He attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, were he was a student senator and vice-president of Off Campus Association. He graduated from Iowa State in 1986 with a Bachelors Degree in political science and English, and a minor in journalism and business administration. During the year of 1984, he was active in the Tom Harkin Campaign for U.S. Senator. In July of 1987, Chris and Holly moved to Omaha where he was currently a student at Creighton University Law School. He attended St. Gerald's Catholic Church in Ralston, Nebraska. In addition to his wife, Holly of Omaha, Nebraska; he is survived by a son, Jamie of Omaha, Nebraska; his parents, Jim and Janet Goeser of Harlan, Iowa; a sister, Cari (Mrs. John) Ledford of Overland Park, Kansas.; two brothers, Jay and Jeff both of Harlan, Iowa; aunts, uncles and other relatives. A Mass of Christian Burial was concelebrated June 1, 1989 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Harlan with Rev. David Polich as celebrant. Rev. Richard Wagner concelebrated with Rev. John David Zuercher serving as Homolist. Burial in Harlan cemetery with Tony Knapp, Sean Donlin, Charles Kline, Craig Schuning, Dan McLaughlin and Kent Ahrenholtz serving as casketbearers.
