Description	:	Christopher Anderson and his wife, Velder/Valger (Opsanger), were both natives of Norway who immigrated in 1866 and married in 1868. They lived for a short time in Clinton county, and then removed to Story county, Mr. Anderson purchasing a farm about four miles northwest of Huxley, in Palestine township. His aged parents lived with them. This place he cultivated to good advantage until 1898, when they removed to Huxley, where he has since resided. He and his wife are active members of the Lutheran Church. They had eight children, with 6 reaching maturity.
