Gregson , Pastor of the Forest Home Baptist church, delivered the funeral oration. Internment was in the Forest Home cemetery. C.C. Farmer, son of Isaac D. and Gaberrilla Farmer was born at Forest Home, Poweshiek County, on December 31, 1865. He died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lucy Crandall, in New Sharon, on June 22, at the age of 66 years, five months and 21 days. He was one of a family of nine children. His parents, one brother , and one sister preceded him in death. He s survived by four brothers, three sisters and several nieces and nephews who will mourn his death. He grew to manhood in the Forest Home neighborhoods and moved to New Sharon nineteen years ago. He has been an invalid for several months, but was very patient and cheerful through all his illness. We wish to thank our friends and relatives for their kindness and sympathy extended to us during the illness and death of our brother, Mr. C.C. Farmer and for the beautiful floral offerings.
