Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Christopher Gerard Gannon was born on Sunday; January 10, 1960, and grew up on a family farm near Mingo; Jasper County, Iowa. He loved to farm and to drive anything with a wheel and a motor. As a boy, he loved John Deere tractors, Bart Star, and the Green Bay Packers. In high school in the late 1970s, he loved technological gadgets, especially CB radios. He graduated from Mingo High School in 1978. He was known as "Bart" to his family. Chris graduated from the Des Moines Area Community College in Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa majoring in Agribusiness. He worked in farming for a few years before becoming an entrepreneur. He owned and operated small businesses in addition to his work at Ingram. He worked as a sales representative for Ingram Entertainment for 20 years, where he won numerous national sales achievement awards. His career in the video industry took him across the country to meetings and sales conventions where he especially enjoyed photo shoots with movie stars. He volunteered for different charities and was a member of Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Church. He loved to golf and he enjoyed trips to the Ozarks with friends and to Hawaii with his Mother. Christopher Gerard Gannon, 46, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2006 in Ankeny; Polk County, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are his mother, Helen McGreevy Gannon; seven sisters; Sheila (Ron) Paukert of Rochester; Olmsted County, Minnesota. Marianne (Stephen) Depetris of Oakland; Alameda County, California. Jeanne (Anthony) Rose of Seaford; Nassau County, New York. Maureen (Mike) Ryan of Mitchellville; Polk County, Iowa. Bebe (Dave) Pyle of Baxter; Jasper County, Iowa. Annie (Dan) Wasson of Colfax; Jasper County, Iowa. Eileen Gannon (Doug Hutchison) of Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa. Six brothers: Dan (Mari) Gannon of Ankeny; James (Angela) Gannon of Holualoa; Hawaii County, Hawaii. Mike (Brenda) Gannon of Colfax; Robert Gannon of Henderson; Clark County, Nevada. Richard Gannon of Des Moines, and Joseph Gannon of Temecula; Riverside County, California. Twenty-three nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews. And also a host of friends. Visitation is from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday; December 28, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Church in Colfax. The family will be available from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at the visitation. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday; December 29, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Church in Colfax. Following services, Mr. Gannon will be laid to rest in Sams Cemetery located in Mitchellville; Jasper County, Iowa.
