Description	:	Son of John White (1814-1902) and Marion Paterson (1825-1902). Christopher moved with his family to Wales around 1854. Emmigration year to Canada shown as 1882 on 1916 Alberta census. John married Ann Richards around 1882 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He worked for the C.P.R. before coming to Calgary, worked at Cushing Lumber, and then homesteaded in the Clearview district, east of Red Deer. --- They had a family of two daughters and two sons. On two occasions he was awarded the Chicago Exhibition World's Best Wheat prize. They farmed until 1931, when they moved to Red Deer. Christopher and Ann White were active in the Methodist Church.
