Kettle. Rev. A. Jarzenski will officiate. Mr. Kettle was born to Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Kettle on a farm north of Ashton on March 17, 1882. He was united in marriage to Kathrine Polski August 29, 1906, at the St. Francis church in Ashton, by Rev. B. Aadha. He spent his entire life in Sherman county. After completing a course in a business college in Omaha, he was appointed rural mail carrier, a position he held for 7 years. While still a young man, he took up veterinary work, and practiced until the time of his death. In the summer of 1920, he took up auctioneering, taking a course in Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Kettle died at his home in Ashton Tuesday morning, January 10, following an illness of several months. The cause of his death was named as heart trouble with a kidney complication. At the time of his death he was 57 years, 9 months and 24 days of age. He is survived by his wife, 3 sons: Steven of Casper, Wyoming, Paul of Los Angeles, Calif., and Donald of Ashton; 5 daughters: Mrs. Isabel Seabeck of Casper, Wyoming, Mae of Omaha, Lillian and Kathleen of Ashton and Rose Marie of Omaha; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Jens of Grand Junction, Colo., and four grandchildren besides other relatives and a host of friends. Had he lived until the 15th of January it would have been just 30 years since his parents, one brother and two sisters were killed in a train wreck enroute [sic] to Grand Junction, Colo.
