He was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian Church. Jack graduated from the Early Community High School in 1932. He worked for his Uncle Tom Kenny for a year until he moved to the Cumberland & Massena area. He was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian Church. Jack graduated from the Early Community High School in 1932. He worked for his Uncle Tom Kenny for a year until he moved to the Cumberland & Massena area. There he worked for Harley Weber until his marriage to Elizabeth Irene Mattheis on August 1, 1936 in Anita. They lived in Cass County until moving to Early in March of 1946. Two years later, Jack and Elizabeth moved to rural Schaller. Jack farmed all of his life, farming eight years in Cass County, two years in Early and the remainder of his life in Schaller. He lived on the farm in rural Schaller until moving into town in 1986. Jack was a member of the Schaller United Methodist Church, and a member of St. Elmo Masonic Lodge No. 462, A.F. and A.M., for 52 years. Hobbies that he enjoyed were playing cards, being with his family, especially his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and visiting with neighbors and friends.
