At age 2 she moved with her parents to Mangum, Oklahoma, and later lived in Central City, Nebraska, where she received her high school education. During the war years they lived in Kimball, Nebraska, an in 1947, they moved to a farm south of Hordville, Nebraska. In 1975, they retired and moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she has since resided. Clara attended the Baptist and Lutheran Churches. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Ruth Kelso. She is survived by a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
