Description	:	Clara Belle VESEY --Clara Belle Bartlett, 85 widow of the late Sherman E. Bartlett, died Sept. 16 at John McDonald hospital in Monticello, following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, sept. 19, from Goettsch Funeral home with Rev. J Benj. Wild officiating. Burial was made at Oakwood cemetery. Bartlett April 29 , 1896 at Brainard. The family moved to Hopkinton in 1904 and to Monticello in 1918. They were the parents of 11 children. Three sons, Willard, Marvin and Reed preceded their mother in death. Mr. Bartlett died Sept. 28, 1929. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Monticello, the VFW Auxiliary and was the oldest Gold Star mother in Jones county. Survivors include three sons, Lee of Monticello, George of Boise, Idaho, and Byron of Monticello, and five daughters, Mrs. Muriel Stover of Anamosa, Mrs. Coy (Mae) Lambert and Mrs. Clayton (Myrtle) Adamson of Monticello, Mrs. William (Mildred) McGavic of Orlando, Fla. and Mrs. Clarence (Mabel) Rhatigan of Monticello. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Vesey of Delhi and George Vesey of Renton, Wash. And one sister, Mrs. C.M.
