She was born in Dunlap on February 20, 1919 the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Andresen Bahr. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Donald Bahr. June 27, 1940 Clara married Richard Stuart Jochims. After his death on February 10, 1974, Clara for the last 27 years, made her home with her son Donald Jochims and family. Clara was a retired cook in Dunlap. She worked at the Dunlap Grill for over 25 years and had worked at the Airport Restaurant in Cadiz, Ohio, then retired from Pike Inn near Hopedale, Ohio, where she worked for over 10 years. Clara was an avid bingo player at many of the local churches and fire departments in Ohio. Survivors include a son, Donald Jochims and his wife Karen of Hopedale, Ohio; one grandson, Kenneth Jochims and his wife Gwen of Kenton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Kelly Grable and her husband TJ of Hopedale, Ohio, and Kathy Jochims of Hopedale, Ohio; one brother, Roger Bahr and his wife Donna of Pisgah; four sisters, Betty Fitzgerald of Dunlap, Lena (Joe) Peterson of Woodbine, Della (Andy) Rizzo of Warrior, Ala., Lois (Herb) Gundelach of Fiddletown, Calif. Funeral liturgy with Mass was held Thursday morning, July 25, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale, Ohio, with the Rev. Thomas Vennitti officiating. Visitation will be held at Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap on Sunday, July 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at Fouts Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Monday morning, July 29. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
