Description	:	Clara Feist, 92, Bismarck, died Nov. 30, 2013, at St. Alexius Medical Center. Her sister, Julia, and many of her nieces and nephews, kept a vigil at her bedside and Clara died peacefully. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. Clara was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Zeeland, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Schneider) Feist, the sixth of 10 children, eight of whom have preceded her in death. Clara attended a rural school in Zeeland and eventually moved to Mobridge, S.D., to work at a dry cleaning business. In 1949, her parents left the farm in Zeeland and moved to Bismarck. Clara joined them there and began a 40-year career that made her a well-known figure in the downtown Bismarck area, sales clerk at Cowan Drug. Clara loved people and had a beautiful smile. Over the years many people stopped in the drugstore just to say hello and get a word of encouragement. Clara remained active her entire life. She loved bowling and was on a league for many years; she continued to bowl until she was 87 years old. She also loved to play cards and was an excellent player. Clara was a beloved sister and aunt and her nieces and nephews adored her. She was always ready to listen to give her support and was very generous and affectionate. She will be missed more than words can say. Clara is survived by her sister, Julia "Julie" Feist, Bismarck; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, John Feist Jr., Eva Matz, Betty Nolz, Katherine Strong, Mary Palmer, Walter Feist, Agatha "Peggy" Materi and Leo Feist.
