Fraser died at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines last Thursday, following a week's illness. Her family had been at her bed side for a number of days and her death came as a great shock to this community. The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R.G. Nye and Rev. J. Schechter. Interment was in the Brooklyn cemetery. Clara Frances, daughter of William Cornelius and Eliza Anne Willett, was born near Brooklyn, Iowa, March 19,1872, and died at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, February 7, 1929, age 56 years, 10 months and 17 days. On March 6, 1895, she was united in marriage to Walter A. Fraser of Brooklyn. They lived on their farm southeast of town until 1917, when they moved to Brooklyn. To them were born five daughters. One, Dorothy, died December 21, 1910, at the age of 22 months. Although she has been in failing health for almost a year, the seriousness of her condition was hardly realized, for in her characteristic uncomplaining way, she went about the duties of the home as usual. When taken to the hospital on February 1st, her condition was found to be critical. Six days later she quietly passed away, retainiing consciousness to the last, visiting with her family and telling them of a readiness to go at God's bidding. When a young girl, she united with the Church and always lived a conscientious Christian life. She was a member of the Miriam Sunday School class of the Methodist Church and a dependable worker in other church activities. She was also an active member of the Women's Relief Corps. She is survived by her husband, Walter A. Fraser, of Brooklyn; four daughters: Virginia, who is in school in Boston, Mrs. Cecil Brannian, who lives on a farm southwest of Brooklyn; Gladys, of Des Moines, and Florence, who is teaching in the Brooklyn schools, and two granddaughters, Ruth and Rhea Brannian. She is also survived by two sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Catherine Robey of Brooklyn, Mrs. Ira Baker of Cresswell, Ore., Art, Neal and Perry Willett of Brooklyn.
