Description	:	OBITUARY Mrs. M.J. (Clara) Donahue was born at Steinauer, Nebr., the second daughter of Charles and Alice Kamen, on Nov. 4, 1895, and moved to Burchard, Nebr., at the age of five. She was married to Michael J. Donahue on Feb. 7, 1917, and they resided at Burchard until January, 1935, at which time they moved to Pawnee City pursuant to Mr. Donahue's being elected County Sheriff. Mrs. Donahue became an expert in the culinary arts, which can be attested by those area residents who had occasion to spend some time in the top floor suite of the County Courthouse "Jail". (Clara) Donahue was born at Steinauer, Nebr., the second daughter of Charles and Alice Kamen, on Nov. 4, 1895, and moved to Burchard, Nebr., at the age of five. She was married to Michael J. Donahue on Feb. 7, 1917, and they resided at Burchard until January, 1935, at which time they moved to Pawnee City pursuant to Mr. Donahue's being elected County Sheriff. Mrs. Donahue became an expert in the culinary arts, which can be attested by those area residents who had occasion to spend some time in the top floor suite of the County Courthouse "Jail". Mr. and Mrs. Donahue resided in Pawnee City until 1947 when they returned to Burchard and then moved to Lincoln in 1953 where they resided until her death on Jan. 28, 1969. Mrs. Donahue had five children, two of whom preceded her in death. Her oldest son, Charles, was killed in action during World War II in France on Jan. 16, 1945. Her second son, Joseph, died in infancy in February, 1930. She leaves surviving her: her husband, M. J. Donahue of Lincoln; her daughter, Mrs. Glenn E. Callam of Hillsboro, Ore.; her daughter, Mrs. Nathan A. Callam of Beatrice; and her son, Michael J. Donahue Jr., of Pawnee City; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mrs. Joseph Ullman of Burchard. On Feb. 1, 1969, at Burchard, Nebr., a Requiem Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Irvin Weber officiating. Interment was in the Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery.
