Description	:	On the morning of May 7th, 1934, Clara Larson passed quietly away after a two weeks illness. She had been suffering from pleurisy and was thought to be recovering nicely but her heart, weakened by years of illness, did not stand the strain and she passed suddenly away. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2:00 o'clock from the Victoria M. E. church and was conducted by Rev. Harry K. Rogers of Mt. Etna. The song service was by a quartet of the Victoria church. Clara Larson, daughter of Peter and Anna Marie Larson, was born on a farm near Massena, Iowa on March 31, 1881 and passed to her heavenly home on May 7, 1934. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, a sister, Julia Stender and her brother, Andrew. A sincere Christian, at an early age Clara became a member of the Church of Christ at Massena, Iowa. Upon the death of her mother, she became the father's housekeeper and remained in that capacity until his death. A devoted daughter and sister, she filled a piece in the life of her family that none other could have filled. She leaves to mourn her loss a brother, Lewis Larson of Conway, Iowa and four sisters, Matilda Ramsey of Mt. Etna, Marie Johnston of Corning, Iowa, Katie Beik of Albany, New York and Emma Larson of Pueblo, Colorado, besides other relatives and friends. She is not dead, she is just away with a cheery wave of the lifted hand, she was was lifted on the her Heavenly land. And left us wondering how very fair it needs must be since she lingers there.
