Description	:	Clara Doornink, 92, of Sioux Center died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in Hull. Memorial services were held on Friday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m.at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Harold Lenters.officiated. Burial was at 10:15 a.m. in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sioux Center. Clara was born Feb. 16, 1908, near Orange City, the daughter of Peter and Kate (Mantel) Vander Zwaag. She married Gerrit A. Doornink on Aug. 30,1932, in Orange City. He died Oct. 14, 1993. Survivors include a son and his wife, Kenneth and Jenean of Sioux Center; a daughter and her husband, Darlene and Gerald Van Roekel of Sioux Center; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Vada Vander Zwaag of Orange City. She was preceded in death by an infant; a sister, Liz Rosters; and three brothers, her twin Jake and Henry and Bernie Vander Zwaag. Sioux County Capital 2000-03-09.
