Description	:	Clarence Allmendinger, 83, Bismarck, passed away peacefully Feb. 5, 2011, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at First Baptist Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Paul Gibson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. He married Margaret Lacher on Aug. 4, 1951. He worked for Bardwell Robinson for a number of years and later drove truck for Super Valu from 1966 to 1989 until his retirement in 1989. In his younger years, Clarence played lead guitar for the Twilight Troubadours'. He was an avid bowler and horse shoe pitcher. He was inducted into the North Dakota Horse Shoe Pitchers Hall of Fame in 1985. He represented North Dakota at the ABC Seniors Bowling Championship Tournament in 1993 at Tulsa, Okla. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was truly a man of integrity and determination, and was able to play horseshoes, bowl and hunt until he lost his sight. Clarence is survived by his wife, Margaret, Bismarck; children, Gary (Alvina), Bismarck, and Joyce Allmendinger, Bismarck; grandchildren, Marie Allmendinger, Olathe, Kan., Jerry Sauter (fiancé, Shannon Hagan) Grand Forks; great-grandson, William Hagan-Sauter; brother, Melvin (Marlene) Allmendinger, Bismarck; sisters, Ramona (Kenneth) Brown, Darlene (Fred) Tremewan, and Mary Ann (Gordon) Andahl, all of California. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Eric Sauter; three sisters; and three brothers.
