Description	:	Clarence was the son of James and Martha (Tantow) Bunce. He was confirmed in the First Lutheran Church of Harvey. He attended Harvey Schools graduating from the Harvey High School in 1927. In 1928, he began working for the Soo Line Railroad as a fireman and engineer. He married Lucy Schmitt on July 29, 1929 in Harvey. He resigned from the Soo Line Railroad in 1950. After that he worked as a night clerk at the Cook Hotel and worked days for Moser Plumbing and Heating for a time. He then held various... Read More	Clarence was the son of James and Martha (Tantow) Bunce. He was confirmed in the First Lutheran Church of Harvey. He attended Harvey Schools graduating from the Harvey High School in 1927. In 1928, he began working for the Soo Line Railroad as a fireman and engineer. He married Lucy Schmitt on July 29, 1929 in Harvey. He resigned from the Soo Line Railroad in 1950. After that he worked as a night clerk at the Cook Hotel and worked days for Moser Plumbing and Heating for a time. He then held various jobs with the city such as policeman, reading meters, and then as a maintenance man. After retiring from the city he became park supervisor for a number of years. He entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in 1992. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and was past Master of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by 6 sons and 5 daughters-in-law, 2 daughters, 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucy on May 21, 1994; brother, Lyman, sisters, Alice and Lucille.
