He was born November 5, 1950 in Ottumwa to Clarence E. and Myrtle Adler Jordan. Butch married Kathy Wilson on July 23, 1971. He was born November 5, 1950 in Ottumwa to Clarence E. and Myrtle Adler Jordan. Butch married Kathy Wilson on July 23, 1971. A 1969 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Butch had worked for Wausau Homes, for Elliot Oil in maintenance and for 20 years in construction with Gary Linn. Butch was a member of Formal Masonic Lodge # 422 A.F. & A.M. in Kirkville, then a member of Olive Branch Masonic Lodge #21 in Agency, a member of KAABA Shrine, Davenport Consistory and served as president of Ottumwa Shrine Club in 2004. He was also a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #347 and Ottumwa Men’s Pool League. Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kathy; their children, Stacy Jordan (Scott Stokes) and David Jordan, both of Ottumwa; 3 grandchildren, Tycen, Tate and Taylor Jordan and great-grandson, Cooper Michael Wilt; siblings, Shirley Denham, Sondra Breuklander; sisters-in-law, Karen (Jim) Bailey and Kristi (Tim) Kurtz. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence; his mother, Myrtle Carlson; grandson, Tyler Jordan; brother and sister-in-law, Otis and Dorothy Jordan and brother, Bob Jordan; two sisters, Louise Schmelzenbach and Marie Smith; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marion and Nancy Yenger; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Maxine Wilson. Limited open visitation for friends will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 20th at Reece Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.rfh-ia.com. Private Masonic services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, December 20th at Reece Funeral Home. Those unable to be at the service may watch live from the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Private funeral services will be at Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The service may be viewed live at 10 a.m. Monday, December 21st on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
