He was the son of Nancy Ann Church and William Henry Webb. When quite small he moved with his parents to a farm near Hopeville, Iowa. Read More	Charles Clarence Webb Charles Clarence Webb was born November 17, 1876, in Jefferson County in Glasco, Iowa, and passed away at the age of 82 years and 29 days. He was the son of Nancy Ann Church and William Henry Webb. When quite small he moved with his parents to a farm near Hopeville, Iowa. When seven years of age, they moved west of Shannon to the Damon place. He received his education in a number of rural schools, residing in Union County most of his life. He was married December 14, 1904, to Laura Wilson. To this union were born three daughters. They started farming west of Shannon City, two years later to a farm four miles east of Shannon where they resided 42 years. Due to failing health of his wife, they moved to Arispe. After the death of his wife he resided at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Keller, for ten years and the last year and one half he spent at the Eblen Nursing Home in Afton. He was preceded in death by his wife Laura, and daughter Hazel Skinner, his parents and three sisters and a great grandchild. He is survived by two daughters, Anna Keller and Dorothy Giles, who live near Shannon City, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday for Clarence Webb, 81, who died at the Creston hospital early Monday. Services were at 2 p.m. in the Arispe Methodist Church, with Rev. Merlin Wilkins officiating. The William Coen Funeral Service was in charge. Burial was in the Tingley cemetery. Mr. Webb was born in Jefferson county, but had lived in the Shannon City and Arispe communities most of his life. He was a retired farmer. Before entering the Eblen Nursing Home, where he was a patient for 1-½ years, he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Rex Keller, at Shannon City. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Keller and Mrs. Dorothy Giles of Shannon City. Mrs. Webb preceded him in death in 1944 and a daughter preceded him in death in 1938.
