Clarence came to Highland Center Community in 1917, where he finished his education and worked on various farms in the area. On February 14, 1929 he was united in marriage to Arminta Spry. Clarence came to Highland Center Community in 1917, where he finished his education and worked on various farms in the area. On February 14, 1929 he was united in marriage to Arminta Spry. To this union, three children were born, Eldon (John) Sullivan, Joan Long and Keith Sullivan. They lived in the Paoli and Holyoke area until Arminta's death. On November 27, 1946 he married Mae Wisdom Sullivan and to this union, one daughter was born, Linda Williamson. In 1950, Clarence and his family moved to Golden where he was street superintendent for 20 years. He retired in December of 1969 and moved to Holyoke, where he resided until the time of his death. Clarence was a member of the Holyoke United Methodist Church. He departed this life July 24, 1982 at the Prairie Vista Care Center in Holyoke at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Clyde, Frank and Ray; two sisters Alice Roblins and Edna Mayberry. Clarence is survived by his wife Mae; two sons Eldon (John) Sullivan of Holyoke and Kieth Sullivan of Ovid; one stepson Darrel (Red) Sullivan of Holyoke; and two daughters Joan (Mrs. Forest) Long and Linda (Mrs. Dave) Williamson, both of Holyoke; one brother Lawrence (Swede) Sullivan; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Services were conducted from the United Methodist Church in Holyoke Tuesday, July 27, with Rev. Ralph Bullock officiating. Music was provided by organist Johana Shew and singers Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harvey. Escorts were Steve Sullivan, Tim Sullivan, Dan Long, Jeff Sullivan, Shawn Sullivan and Mike Sullivan. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Relatives from out of town who attended the July 27 services were Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Sullivan and Beatrice Sullivan of Holdrege, Nebraska; Orville Sullivan of Loomis, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Anderson of Golden; Mrs. Larry Jackson of Golden; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schnieder of Ft. Collins; Mrs. Dean Miles of Sterling. Mr. and Mrs. Don Wisdom of Fleming; Mrs. Mary Ballard of Pueblo; Mrs. Olive Williamson of Pueblo; Frank Munroe and Edna Morrison of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Carolyn Gonzales of Longmont; and Mr. and Mrs. Mac Bellemy of Brighton.
