Funeral services were held Thursday, March 12 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion with Rev. Don Wilken officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion. Ellen Norskov was church oganist. Special music was provided by Mr. and Mrs.Lynn Iverson. Casket bearers were Rod Miller, Ron Miller, Harlan Long, Vemon Davis, Rick Jacobson, and Chuck McCarthy. Clarence David Jacobson was born October 28,1899, the son of David and Bertha (Böe) Jacobson northwest of Newman Grove. He attended school in Boone County. He was baptized and confirmed in the Salem Lutheran Church. On February 22, 1922 he married Ellen Anderson in a double wedding at Salem Lutheran Church. They farmed several years around the Newman Grove and Albion area. In 1948 they moved to Albion where he worked as a carpenter and at the Country Club. In 1956 they moved to Columbus where he worked at Dale Electronics and at St. Mary's Hospital. In 1967 they moved back to Harmony Homes in Albion where he worked as a maintenance man for Harmony Homes until he retired in 1985. Mr. Jacobson was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Adams of Columbus; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen, his parents, three brothers; one sister; and one great-grandson. *Note: Son Dwaine omitted as a survivor. __________________________ Wednesday, March 11, 1992 The Albion News Albion, NE Pg #4 Downloaded on June 3, 2019 Clarence D.
