Description	:	Clarence Dietrich Kuper, the son of Fred and Caroline (Paschold) Kuper, was born on April 26, 1911 on a farm southwest of Nelson, Nebraska. He passed away on September 7, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 98 years, 4 months and 12 days. Clarence was one of three children, he attended Smyrna grade school while growing up and graduated from Nelson High School. Read More	Clarence Dietrich Kuper, the son of Fred and Caroline (Paschold) Kuper, was born on April 26, 1911 on a farm southwest of Nelson, Nebraska. He passed away on September 7, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 98 years, 4 months and 12 days. Clarence was one of three children, he attended Smyrna grade school while growing up and graduated from Nelson High School. He was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church, being an active lifetime member. He served on the church board and was the Sunday school superintendent for many years and a member of the church choir. He loved music, singing and played the clarinet. Clarence lived his entire life in Nelson and was a farmer and rancher. He served on the Nelson Coop board for many years. In his spare time Clarence enjoyed fixing things. His hobby was finding Indian artifacts, which included arrowheads, scrapers and any other finds. Clarence also liked "witching" for water. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Alfred Kuper and sister Alice Pedersen; niece Marilyn Pedersen and nephew Dean Pedersen. He is survived by his family of nieces and nephews Marjorie Blair of Hardy, Nebraska; Judy Sweney and husband Bruce of Lincoln, Nebraska; Jane Raetz and husband Gary of Leawood, Kansas; Carol Madrid Pedersen of Hastings, Nebraska and sister-in-law June Kuper of Lincoln, Nebraska; great and great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Memorial Services at: Salem Lutheran Church, rural Superior, Nebraska Time of Service: Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM Clergy: Pastor Scot McCluskey Inurnment: Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska Memorials to: Memorials given to Clarence Kuper Scholarship Fund.
