Much of his early life was spent in the occupation of farming and ranching. On Sept. 19, 1942, Clarence married Alma Stuthman in Lander, Wyoming. Read More	Source: Stanton Register, Wednesday, August 26, 1981 Clarence was born on Feb. 19, 1915 at Greenwood, NE to Arthur and Gertrude Mick Stradley. Much of his early life was spent in the occupation of farming and ranching. On Sept. 19, 1942, Clarence married Alma Stuthman in Lander, Wyoming. Soon thereafter he entered the United States Army in World War II. He also joined the church about this time. He was baptized at Ft. Lewis Washington on Nov 3, 1944. After his discharge he was confirmed at St John' s Lutheran Church in Pilger by Rev. Bernthal. After service Clarence farmed in the Pilger vicinity until 1970. At that time he moved to Norfolk where he worked lor Vulcraft until his retirement in 1978. He then moved back to Pilger where he stayed until his stroke and death. He was preceded in death by his parents his five brothers Leonard, John, Marion, Lawrence and Frank, also one sister Dorothy Newsham and one brother and one sister who died in infancy. He is survived by his wife Alma, his son Dennis of Verdigre, a son in-law and daughter Ted and Marilyn Reeg of Wayne, and three grand-children Terry, Brian and Brenda Reeg. He is survived also by a sister Mrs. D. A. Fulmer (Florence) of Greenwood and a brother A. L. Stradley of Lancaster Calif. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Willard Kassulke at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pilger on Monday Aug 24 at 2 p.m. with Mrs. John Goeller at the organ. The burial was in the Pilger Cemetery. Contributor: Kent Pauling # 47438725
