They made their home in the Litchfield area and later lived on farms in the Ansley area. In 1976, they moved to Ansley. He continued to work on the farm and later became the street commissioner for the Village of Ansley. He retired in 1988. Survivors include sons, Marlyn of Pleasanton and Dean of Kearney; daughter Glenda Bauer of Broken Bow; sisters, Gertrude Cool of Miller and Lydia Wing of Pleasanton; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, who died in 1989, a daughter and six brothers.
