Read More	Clarence Edwin Scholl, son of Arthur Fred Scholl and Valita Elvira Howell Scholl was born April 23, 1932 in Murray, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa at 89 years of age. Clarence received his education in the country schools of Clarke County and graduated from Osceola High School in 1951. As a youth, Clarence was a multi-sport athlete playing football, basketball, wrestling and track. Clarence began farming at an early age during World War II. He was the youngest son in the family and remained at home to help his family care for the farm. At the age of twelve, Clarence was even helping other families care for their farms. Clarence learned the meaning of hard work and honesty and maintained these traits throughout all his years. He was united in marriage to Virginia Maurine Clark on May 6, 1972 at Osceola, Iowa and to this union they shared two daughters, Joyce M. "Sue" Cannon and Allison K. Kendall. Clarence worked up until the age of 81 as the County Road Superintendent for Clarke County, Iowa. Prior to working for Clarke County, Clarence was a life-long heavy equipment operator and farmer who spent much of his professional career working for Kent Construction and Tom Barr Construction, operating bull dozers all over Iowa. He was a Charter Member of the Osceola Eagles Lodge Aerie #3495 and enjoyed bowling in various leagues and roller skating in earlier years. In later life, Clarence became an avid gardener and was widely known for his hundreds of tomato plants he started, shared and raised each year. Those relatives who preceded Clarence in death were his father, Arthur Fred Scholl; mother, Valita Elvira Scholl Watson; step-father, Ira Watson; wife, Virginia Maurine Scholl; step-daughter, Sue Taylor; sister, Opal Wonderlin, brother, John Scholl, brother, Ernest Scholl, brother, William Scholl, nephew, Francis Scholl, and three angel grandbabies. Clarence leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Allison K. Kendall of osceola, IA; grandchildren, Rob (Christi) Taylor of West Des Moines, IA, Jacki (Ron) Hyde of Des Moines, IA and Jessi (James) Parker of Des Moines, IA; great-great grandchildren, Melani (Aaron) Fulton, Kati Taylor, Nick Hyde, Ben Taylor, Will Taylor; great-great-grandchildren, Addie and Claire Fulton; son-in-law, Robert W. Taylor, Sr.; brother-in-law, Gerald (Lynette) Clark of Osceola and many nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home - Osceola, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 10:00 am with Pastor Marty Burgus officiating. Visitation will open after 12 noon Monday and the family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, May 10, 2021 at Kale Funeral Home. The funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines. The use of face coverings at either event are REQUIRED. If you are unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at www.kalefuneralhome.com on Clarence's tribute wall beginning at 10:00 am, Tuesday.
