Description	:	OBITUARY: C. E. Wickersham, 57, a life-long resident of Marshall county, died at his home, six miles west of Marshalltown on highway No. 30, at 11:20 o'clock today. Two years ago he had been in very poor health but he had improved greatly and apparently was in his usual condition before he was stricken. Death, due to heart disease, came suddenly and unexpectedly. He passed away in the house where he was born, Dec. 24, 1877. Mr. Wickersham was the son of Samuel J. and Elizabeth Wickersham. When he was a young man, he, with his parents spent five years in California and returned to the old home place. Mr. Wickersham was married in this city to Miss Cora Pearl, Nov. 17, 1897. They were the parents of two sons, both of whom survive. They are Emmett C. Wickersham, living on the home place, and Burton K. Wickersham, Cedar Falls. In addition to the sons and the Widow, Mr. Wickersham is survived by four grandchildren, Dorothy and Joan Wickersham, children of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Wickersham, and Jean and Charles Wickersham, children of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Wickersham. In 1921 Mr. and Mrs. Wickersham retired from the farm, moving to Marshalltown. Five years later they returned to the farm. When his health began to fail they spent four years in Florida and his condition was improved. In the past few years they had spent the winters in Florida and California but last winter was spent on the farm. Mr. Wickersham was the last surviving member of his father's family. Funeral services will be held from the home and burial will be in the Lamoille cemetery...
