Description	:	Clarence "Bous" Bousfield, 61, of 1600 S. 10th Ave. died Friday in McKennan Hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Parker, SD. He attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He was an accomplished musician. Mr. Bousfield enlisted in the Air Force in February 1943 and was commissioned a lieutenant in 1944. He was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Parker, SD. He attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He was an accomplished musician. Mr. Bousfield enlisted in the Air Force in February 1943 and was commissioned a lieutenant in 1944. He served as a fighter pilot in World War II with the 4th fighter group in Europe and was stationed in England and Germany. Before his discharge in 1946, he served as a commanding officer in Frankfurt, Germany. He returned to Sioux Falls, where he built four transmitter towers and studios for KIHO, now KNWC, and was remote control engineer for KSOO. He broadcast Lutheran Vespers at Eastside Lutheran Church for three years. For a brief time he was co-owner of Ace Neon Signs and then worked for the city of Sioux Falls for 30 years in the parking meter department. He retired in 1983. He married Molly Mallone and had one daughter, Cheryl. He married Ada Cramer Schutjer June 21, 1957, in Worthington, Minn. Mr. Bousfield was a member of the Community Reformed Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Elks Lodge #262. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Rickey (Cheryl) Crayton, Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Strauss, Sioux Falls; and a brother, the Rev. Paul Bousfield, Fort Dodge, Iowa. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday in the Community Reformed Church. Burial will be in the Turner County First Presbyterian Cemetery in Davis, SD.
