His death, which was attributed to a heart attack, occurred while he was plowing in a field near his home. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the Plover Methodist Church with the Rev. Maurice Frevert officiating. Mrs. Don Forry was the organist and accompanied Carl Hosier as he sang “How Great Thou Art” and “Abide With Me.” The floral arrangements were cared for by Mrs. Art Sellers, Mrs. A.O. Garlock and Mrs. Edwin Grove. Casket bearers were David Van Alstine, Edwin Grove, Don Johannsen, Wayne Henderson, Art Sellers, all of Plover, and K. Lee Leary of Des Moines. Honorary pallbearers were W.O. Winter of Des Moines and Charles McFadzen. Burial was in Powhatan Cemetery, Plover. Clarence Henry Webbink, son of Laura and Henry Webbink, was born February 7, 1921, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. In his early boyhood he moved with his parents to a farm near Plover. He graduated from Plover High School in 1937, and from the 4 C’s Business College in Des Moines. He was united in marriage to Juanita Simonson February 7, 1942. The couple lived in Des Moines until 1958, except for two years at Plover after his Navy discharge in 1946. Since 1958, he has resided with his family on a farm near Plover where his death occurred suddenly from a heart attack on Wednesday afternoon, November 30, 1966. Surviving are his wife, Juanita; a son and two daughters, John and Joyce, both at home and Mrs. Larry (Kathryn) Hilton, Rolfe, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Webbink, Pocahontas, two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Florence) Ohrtman, Sac City, and Mrs. Floyd (Lillian) Hoover, Callendar. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Mysteria Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion Post, all of Plover. Contributed by Teresa #49560808
